- This is why I rock: I am Candace Cooks, a young and ambitious African American woman from Dallas, Texas making moves chasing my dreams to Atlanta Georgia. Currently I am a Fashion Merchandising student at Clark Atlanta University pursuing my goals of becoming a fashion editor of an elite magazine. I created this blog to be used as an informative tool of what's going on in the black community and fashion world.

SUPERBOWL MADNESS
SO EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT SUPERBOWL XIV, WHICH IS ONE OF THE MOST WATCHED GAMES EVER, WAS HOSTED IN THE GREAT CITY OF DALLAS, TEXAS AT THE NEW DALLAS COWBOYS STADIUM. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, SOME FOOTBALL FANS WHO PURCHASED TICKETS FOR THE BIG GAME WERE UNABLE TO WATCH THE GAME FROM THE COMFORT OF THEIR PURCHASED SEATS. HOURS BEFORE THE GAME THE NFL ANNOUNCED THAT 1,250 TEMPORARY SEATS WERE UNSAFE BECAUSE OF THE SNOW STORM DAMAGE IN DALLAS EARLIER DURING THE WEEK. 850 PEOPLE WERE LEFT WITH DIFFERENT SEATS, AND THE OTHER 400 HAD TO WATCH THE GAME OUTSIDE THE STADIUM ON THE BIG SCREEN. THESE FANS FILED A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE NFL, DALLAS COWBOYS, AND OWNER JERRY JONES. THE NFL HAS OFFERED FANS TWO OPTIONS, THE 1ST IS A TICKET TO NEXT YEAR'S SUPERBOWL AND A CASH PAYMENT OF $2,400 AND THE 2ND OPTION WAS A TICKET TO AN FUTURE SUPERBOWL GAME WITH PAID ROUNDTRIP AIRFARE AND HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS.
